Does anyone know how to identify RAM chips? I ask because there is a computer store nearby that sells parts they pulled from computers & servers.

RAM chip modules are in a small box and sell for $1.50 each (AS-IS) with no identifying stickers left on them. The store assembles & sells its own used computers, so there probably aren't any 256MB or even 128MB modules left in them.

So how do you tell the difference between Fast Page, EDO, and SDRAM (PC100/133) memory? I think the majority of the ram is FP & EDO. I think I did see a few SDRAM DIMMs, but how do you know what type & size they are by looking at them?

Is there a site that can help with this?   Click Read More

The best way I have ever found was visit a site like

CPUZ CPUID  http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php   Run these free programs they are small a

nd easy to use often people say they tell you more than you need to know.
